I see that it is going to hit 10 C (50 F) on Saturday, back home in Strathroy, Ontario. My friends there are sure getting a dose of wild weather swings. Time is going by very quickly here. Won’t be long and we will be packing up and hitting the road. Things are winding down.
Weather here in the valley has been very nice. The first two winters here were wet and cold, but this year, the weather has been perfect. No complaints.
Tomorrow is the resident’s Dog Show. There are 47 entries. It is a simple show and tell. You get to parade your dog around on a leash for everyone to see and then introduce your dog to the group. Many of the dog owners know each other and know many of the dogs here in the park.
Later in the afternoon, I have a scheduled practice for the Luau show that is coming up in March. I am going to be one of the “warriors”. The “warriors” have masks, a grass skirt, makeup and a spear and we have a routine that we work thru. Should be a hoot. This show is put on every year with different volunteers for the various roles.
I think we will set up a “bird trip” in March for those in the park that are interested. We will head to one of the local wildlife refuges for the day.
