My butterfly bush is at its peak right now.  And it truly is a butterfly magnet.  But what a difference a year can make.  Last year, the most common butterfly was the Milbert’s Tortoiseshell.  Several times last year, I had 4 Milbert’s on the Butterfly Bush at the same time.  This year, I have not seen a Milbert’s since early summer.  And the most common butterfly this year?  The Viceroy.  I have also seen more Monarchs this year than I have seen in a long time.
