a new day dawns

After a couple of days of sweltering humid days and a ton of rain last night, today dawned absolutely gorgeous.  This morning, I read and played around with a new record-player I bought.  Yes, record-player.  It plugs into your computer and records your records on the computer as MP3’s.  Neat.  But it was just too nice to stay indoors, so around noon I headed out west of town.  Checked the fields between here and Glencoe.  And wandered around Skunk’s Misery.  Saw all the usual suspects.  Birds, that is.  Not much in the way of butterflies, though. 

Put some shelves in the garage this afternoon, after I got home.  Night shift, tonight.  Drat!!!!!
