This afternoon, I took a few minutes and drove out to Seed Road, a short distance north-west of Strathroy. This is the area that is traditionally a “good” location to find SNOWY OWLS in the winter. And since just before Christmas, one of these beautiful birds has been reported in the area. I have made a couple of trips to Seed Road to see if I could spot it. But to no avail. They have a way of disappearing and blending in with the snowy surroundings.
But persistance paid off, because today I finally spotted it. I was hoping for a frontal shot, but I will settle for this.
